While 2 slices of whole wheat toast made my blood sugar spiked from 86 fasting level to 155, a bowl of oatmeal only increased my blood sugar level from 86 fasting level to 112. This means, more AGEs are formed inside your body when you eat a wheat-based food. Unfortunately, most people eat wheat in every meal as they think it’s totally safe.
